Film & TV Composer
Penka Kouneva is a Sundance Film Composer fellow and has scored 11 indie features and 3 TV films for the SciFi Channel ("Ice Spiders," "Nuclear Hurricane" and "Chupacabra.") Her feature films include "The Third Nail" (to be released theatrically in 2008), "The Connecticut Kid," and "The Picture of Dorian Gray" (starring Josh Duhamel). She is also a busy orchestrator having worked on "The Transformers" film and game, "Hostel" I and II, "Pirates" 3, "Matrix 2, 3," "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning," etc. Her music style draws from her Eastern-European heritage, electronica, minimalism, classical music upbringing, and world music. She is also on the Film Music Selection Committee of high-profile film festivals.
