Veteran agent Jeff Kaufman has worked as a film and television music agent in Los Angeles since 1986, and was a partner in the entertainment industries first film music agency - Bart-Milander Associates which then became Milander, Schleussner, Kaufman (M.S.K.) and Film Music Associates. At these agencies Kaufman in collaboration with his partners (Bart, Milander and Schleussner all retired)was responsible for signing, developing and nurturing such talents as Hans Zimmer, Gabriel Yared, Rachel Portman and Stanley Clarke amongst others. By late 1996, Kaufman left the agency to open up his own firm, The Kaufman Agency, which represents award winning composer clients worldwide, including Carl Davis, Barry Goldberg, Dick Hyman, Ron Jones, Mark McKenzie, Peter Melnick, Sheldon Mirowitz, Laurence Rosenthal, Mark Suozzo, Michael Whalen, Alan Williams and others.
